Homeschool History Help
RALEIGH – There is help at hand for homeschool parents in search of resources for teaching history. The N.C. Office of Archives and History has materials and programs to assist with that. Reed Gold Mine State Historic Site in Cabarrus County will host a free information session for home school educators on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m.
The Archives and History staff also will provide some educational resource materials. To reserve a place or for information, contact Jo Ann Williford at (919) 807-7284 or joann.williford@ncmail.net.
The Office of Archives and History is part of the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources, a state agency dedicated to the promotion and protection of North Carolina’s arts, history and culture.
