First up, a conversation between Cultural Resources Fay Mitchell and children’s book author Eleanora Tate.  Ms. Tate will take part in “History Stories for Children” at the North Carolina Museum of History on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. (:34) Next, the North Carolina Symphony’s Scott Freck shares some musical news concerning Hamlet (5:25). The rest of the show has a distinctly Valentine’s fee. We’ll start with a poem written by Banu Vallardes entitled Love / Amor (10:26).  A heartfelt letter from a homesick Confederate soldier during the Civil War is part of an online exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of History(11:30).  We close with the romantic “Letter From Down the Road,” performed by western North Carolina singer and banjo player Laura Boosinger (15:25).  Laura is featured in the upcoming 2008-2010 edition of the Touring Artists Directory from the North Carolina Arts Council.
