BEAUFORT - Combine three musically inclined chipmunks with a Frustrated songwriter and you’ll get “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” the feature film on June 6 for “Cinema by the Sea.” The outdoor film series for the family, sponsored by the N.C. Maritime Museum,is offered every other Friday night this summer. Bring your blanket or chair and join the fun at the North Carolina Maritime Museum’s expansion site at Gallants Channel, next to Town Creek Marina.
Movie-goers who enter the grassy lawns when the gates open at 7 p.m. Will find a choice of refreshments and snacks for purchase as well as a Stunning view. Tickets include admittance from 7-8 p.m. to the Repository for Artifacts exhibit “Our Sunken History: Archaeological Treasures for North Carolina Shipwrecks.”
Movies begin at sunset. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by An adult. No dogs, pets, coolers, or glass, please. Tickets are $10 per carload and includes parking; walk-in tickets are $2 at the gate. In the event of inclement weather, tickets are good for rain date on the following Friday, but no refunds will be available. There is limited space, first-come-first-served.
