Today’s show is all about the holidays.  We’ll hear about stocking stuffers, holiday shows, and things to do with the family that don’t cost a whole lot. First up is Bill Owens from Historical Publications, who talks about holiday offerings for history fans.  Next, Andrea Lawson, performing arts director of the N.C. Arts Council talks about upcoming holiday shows around the state, followed by a roundup of holiday events around the department.  The podcast closes with “Hush Child and Sleep,” written and performed here by Laurelyn Dossett.  The song is part of Triad Stage’s production “Beautiful Star: An Appalachian Nativity,” which runs through December 21 at the Greensboro, N.C. theater.  For more information on the production, go to triadstage.org.
