Did you know the N.C. Museum of History is a popular venue for wedding receptions? If you or a friend are planning a wedding, then don’t miss the museum’s first Bridal Expo on Thursday, April 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a glass of wine, sample fine foods from caterers and cake designers, and immerse yourself in the elegant ambiance of the museum. Meet with wedding planners, florists, bridal shop representatives, and others.
“Not only will we have great vendors, but we’ve lined up a fashion show featuring selections from Gorgeous Gowns and Dresses and tuxedos from Cape Fear Formal Wear,” says Cheri Williams, the museum’s special events coordinator. “In addition, we will raffle off a free museum rental valued at $1,500.” (Some exclusions apply.)
At the Bridal Expo, see fantastic floral arrangements created by Ninth Street Flowers, dazzling table settings supplied by CE Rentals, and ambient lighting provided by Total Production Services. Other event participants include such Raleigh favorites as Caffé Luna, Ladyfingers Caterers, Irregardless Café, Swank Cake Design and Cinda’s Creative Cakes.
“Many brides do not realize what kind of options they have available for their big day,” continues Williams. “We hope this event will make it easy for them to learn about the museum and the local businesses.”
Ticketing Information: Admission is only $5; advance tickets will be sold in the Museum Shop. Parking is free in the Wilmington Street lot, directly behind the museum.
