The Department of Cultural Resources hosted a public meeting May 27, 2009, 12:30 pm at the North Carolina Museum of History, to discuss North Carolina Arts Council proposals to develop four exciting Heritage trails.
Each trail is a creative economies project that builds upon North Carolina’s excellent reputation as home to artists of unparalleled quality and distinction. The goal is to stimulate cultural travelers and residents to discover North Carolina’s unique and authentic culture.
Trails may include a variety of education and marketing components such as informational kiosks, outdoor interpretive panels, maps, guides, photos, and website support.
