BEAUFORT – Sea monsters, shipwreck victims, pirates and other maritime ghouls and goblins will inhabit the darkened exhibit hall at the N.C. Maritime Museum on Friday, Oct. 30, from 5:30-8 p.m.
Be prepared to be scared by the haunted hall tricks and take home a sweet treat.
At the Mad Scientist table, participants will feel inside “mystery boxes” and squeal over mystery marine items. Drama students from East Carteret High School will help present the scary fare. Wear your costume and join the fun.
Hear tales of whale bones at 7 p.m. Natural Science Curator Keith Rittmaster will give a presentation on Bonehenge and discuss the current updates on the creation of a real, full-sized juvenile sperm whale skeleton.
Adult admission to the Fright Night is $5; admission is $2 for Friends of the Museum, children under 10 and students. Drama students at East Carteret High are major contributors, and proceeds will benefit the East Carteret drama department and the Maritime Museum.
