History and Agriculture collaborate on Fair exhibit

North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Steve Troxler and North Carolina Museum of History Director Ken Howard spent opening day at the State Fair together, where their two organizations are collaborating to bring fairgoers a taste of North Carolina and a brush with Blackbeard.

The Museum has recreated part of its Knights of the Black Flag exhibit in the center of the Goodness Grows in North Carolina tent sponsored by the Agriculture Department.

Troxler and Howard, appeared at the opening to promote the collaboration. The fair runs through October 25. The Museum’s pirate exhibit will be open through January 3.
