July 14 – “Barbershop Chorus and Ice Cream Social”
Come and hear the music of the early 1900s as the Land of the Sky Barbershop Chorus presents a rousing rendition of songs both sweet and sentimental. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of this unique genre of American music. Free program. 2-4 p.m..
August 11 – “Chair Caning: An Introductory Workshop”
Join traditional wood working craftsman, David Ammons, as he demonstrates the nearly lost art of chair caning. Participants should bring an old chair needing a new seat to this hands-on workshop. Participation is limited. A fee is charged to cover the cost of materials. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m..
