June 9 – “Appalachian Civil War Music and Stories”

A Civil War 150 program held in partnership with the Blue Ridge National Heritage Association, highlighting traditional music and stories concerning western North Carolina and the Civil War. Free admission.10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

July 14 – “Heritage Crafts Day”

A day for families to learn about and participate in heritage crafts of the southern Appalachians.  Free admission. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

August 11 – “Civil War Encampment Weekend” (tentative)

Tentative plans: Civil War Encampment with the North State Rifles on-site to demonstrate and talk about the life of the common soldier from North Carolina.  This will be a Civil War 150 program.  Free admission. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.  1-3 p.m. Sunday (Tentative)
