N.C. Maritime Museum Fright Night

BEAUFORT–Spooky storytelling and a haunted exhibit hall will highlight the many activities of “Fright Night” at the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort on Friday, Oct. 26, 5:30-8 p.m. There will be fun and frights for all ages, so bring the family to the museum.  Performers from the East Carteret High School Drama Club and the museum’s staff and volunteers will help visitors get in the Halloween spirit.  It’s a different place at night when the lights are out.  A portion of the proceeds will go to the drama club.

“Sailors were and are a very superstitious bunch. Imagine being at sea in a pitch black night with the ship creaking and groaning around you – that might send shivers up the spine!  The Maritime Museum will capture the chill of the evening air and offer a thrilling evening,” explains Education Curator LeeAnne Gordon.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for ages 18 and under. The museum is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit the museum’s website or call (252) 728-7317.
