For centuries, many people in North Carolina made what they needed with what they had on hand. They transformed flour-sack cloth into clothing, tobacco twine into crocheted bedspreads, local wood into household furniture, and other available materials into useful items. WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) is hosting two vastly different shows this fall – visionary photography and cutting edge contemporary quilts. Both exhibitions will open Sept. 13 at SECCA, located at 750 Marguerite Drive.
